Wesley C. Gant

	Wesley C. Gant, 80, of DuQuoin, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2001 at the Fair Acres Nursing Home in DuQuoin.
	Wesley was a retired mechanic and of the Baptist faith.  He was a member of the DuQuoin Eagles Lodge.
	He was born January 6, 1921 at Sunfield, the son of Curtis B. and Minnie Ellen (Morris) Gant.  He married Juanita Bullock in 1940 at Charleston, Mo. and she passed away in 1988.
	He is survived by one daughter, Viola M. Bryant9nd husband Don of Steeleville; two sons, Charles Junior Gant of Elkville and David Wesley Gant of Providence, Ky.; one brother, Arthur Gant and wife Bessie of DuQuoin; two sisters, Doris Poe of Mulkeytown and Lois Farthing of Tamaroa; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
	He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and brother, Curtis Gant.
	Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at the Searby Funeral Home in DuQuoin with Rev. Steve Bareis officiating.
	Friends called from 9 until 11 a.m. Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home.
	Interment was in the Primitive Baptist Cemetery at DuQuoin
